26 weeks

So Daniel cut my head off in this picture, but that's ok. I really haven't gotten ready for the day yet. Haha

I can't believe that I'm 26 weeks! I'm almost at the third trimester! I have a doctors appointment on March 1st, they are going to test me for gestational diabetes. So I get to drink that really sugary drink and get tested... That should be fun. haha

I can feel my muscles split apart in my tummy as Noah gets bigger. The other day it was really bad. Daniel and I were walking around in K-mart and I felt like everything was going to split open and fall out! Yucky. I'm thinking that I'm going to look into getting one of those support belts for my belly. I know I am not that big, I've see lots of girls at the same stage as me with much larger bellies than me, but I don't know how they do it! I also am curious to know how it's going to be when I get even larger in the next 14 weeks. Woohoo Only 14 more to go!

I keep having dreams at night where my doctors want to deliver the baby now. I hate these dreams. I keep telling them "he's not big enough yet!" I don't want them to deliver him because he's just too darn small, and needs more time to grow in my tummy. But they still put me in the hospital and put me on pitocin to get my contractions started. Last night in my dream I was in the hospital alone. Daniel had to go to school and My mom hadn't made it there yet. I remember laying there in my hospital bed waiting for my first contraction, scared about how it would feel. I did not like that feeling. I don't care if Daniel has to work or has school, when I'm in the hospital he's going to be there!

Music

Noah really loves music!

Today I turned Pandora on. I haven't listened to anything lately so I figured I was in the mood for something mellow, so I chose Mae. It's got a good variety of Anberlin, Relient K, Death Cab For Cutie, Jimmy Eat World... etc. And even some new bands I haven't heard before, but I was very pleased with the selection.

So I turned it, and this whole time Noah has pretty steadily moved around the whole time. :-) I've got the lap top on my tummy, so I'm sure he can really hear it. I think it's really cute to feel him dancing around in my tummy. I think he's going to turn out to be a real music buff like his momma and daddy.

I wrote Derek a letter today and told him that "Uncle Derek will have to introduce Noah to all the greatest bands" when he gets home from Brazil.

Fitting in things may get harder!

I took this in my family relations class on Tuesday... I'm starting to have less room everywhere I go! Haha.

24 Weeks

WOAH! I'm feelin big! I'm slowly but, most definitely, surely growing out of my desks at school. Luckily in my 2 sewing classes I am on a nice swivel chair with wheels at my sewing station, so I've got plenty of room there... unless I need to lean over the table to cut something out or work with a pattern piece.

Any time there is the tiniest amount of pressure on my belly, Noah goes nuts. I think he's starting to feel cramped and therefor appreciates his space. Haha

I'm feeling better, still sick a lot at night, but I'm eating a lot more. Thank goodness I've only gained 10 lbs, pretty good for 6 months.

Things are going well, other than a little stress from school!

Kicking!

It's really hard to see I know... But if you ignore my breathing you can see one to two little jumps of the plate on my belly. Noah was kicking up a storm and I thought I would try to catch it on video. When he get's stronger I'm sure it will make better video's.

22 weeks

This past week I have actually been feeling pretty good. Of course I'm still on the medication keeping me from throwing up, but it feels like I'm getting a little better. I've slowly weened myself down to 1 pill a day, which is a big accomplishment for me I think! I still get pretty nauseous here and there, but it's getting easier to handle.

Weight gain is a slow process.. thank goodness! Haha! I've still only gained a few pounds so at least for now I'm on track.

Noah has been very active lately, especially yesterday. We've been able to see the slightest movement on the outside of my belly when he kicks. And his kicks are getting stronger everyday, which means ouch for momma, but daddy is enjoying feeling them. I read on whattoexpect.com that the baby should be about 1 lbs this week. But since he was about 11 oz 2 weeks ago, he may be slightly bigger! ha! He's going to be a big one! :-)

In my birthing class they talked about the more active the baby is the better. That makes me feel good. And I've already started counting his movements every evening to make sure I feel 10 kicks in a hour. Normally when he starts at it, I can get a good 15-20 or so in 15 mins! So that is pretty comforting... emotionally!

We keep getting more and more ready for him, even though we've got a ways to go. My mom has been 'controlling' herself, and only getting a few things every-so-often. But it's nice to start stocking up. And Daniel's oldest sister Laura has been amazing with sharing all of her baby boy stuff with us, and still has more to give! We are truly blessed with wonderful families. Noah's little (TINY!) room will be full before we know it!

Week 21: Stretching!

Just thought I would share this funny story...

I'm laying in bed with the laptop on my tummy, trying to read my sociology homework, when I feel Noah kick. He'd been asleep for the past little while so it startled me, and then I assumed he'd be doing his daily routine of Tae Kwon-Do, and then settle down again. But this time that feeling in my side wasn't going away. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what was going on. I text my mom, and she said, "Oh silly, he's just stretching!"

Haha DUH! He's getting big enough now that when he stretches I can feel it. And boy does he push hard!
