Thanksgiving and SLC

I feel bad I didn't get any pictures of this whole weekend. I kept thinking about it, but I honestly have no idea where my cameras are... as well I'll give myself more credit by not saying I was 'too lazy' but I was just tired and sick. So I didn't want to go threw the effort of pictures. Even though now I'm kind of regretting. Oh well, nothing to do, but try to be better about it in the future.

So, Thanksgiving was nice. Daniel helped with dinner. He basically did everything. It was a nice little dinner for the two of us. I ate a small plate, it was sooo yummy, but too much for my tummy. Haha, oh well. We just bought a turkey breast instead of a whole turkey because it was just the two of us, and we're still eating leftovers so I'm glad it's lasted us.

The next day we got up around 7am and drove to SLC. It took us almost 40 mins to find out motel because I mixed up West from South... Daniel calls it preggie brain. Yes... lets just blame it on my pregnancy! And then when I'm no longer pregnant I'll have to find another excuse. Although my mom say's that after pregnancy you never do regain your brain back.

We made it to the temple in time and it was wonderful. We enjoyed it very much. The Salt Lake Temple is so beautiful. Then we had 'lunch/dinner' at the mall with everyone. And by then I was exhausted. I wanted to go with everyone to see the lights around temple square, but I just couldn't do it. So Daniel and I enjoyed a nice quite evening in our motel room. We watched The Shawshank Redemption on tv before we went to bed... I don't even think we finished it we were so tired.

Then the next day we checked out of our motel, and went to Bountiful where Daniel's oldest sister Laura lives. It was a very nice visit. Her son Matty is getting so big. He likes to try to ride their pit bull like it's a horse. I actually got a picture of this. He's just so cute!

12 1/2 weeks and MOLD!

I can't believe I am ending my first trimester next week... FINALLY! Daniel and I have our fingers crossed that this will be the time when I start feeling better. I have heard so much from so many women, and I know everyone is different. I know that for some there is the 'magic week' that they just start feeling better, and for others it's gradual, and for even others it never lets up. I'm really hoping that it will be one of the first 2 for me (or just the first one). ;-)

So when we moved from Burley to Rexburg we moved into a trailer that we'd never seen before. This isn't always the best thing to do, as we've learned, but we had my cousin Dani and her soon-to-be husband Derek take a look at it for us. It was a good price and 3 bedrooms.

Moving was very hard. So when we got here and noticed that when you were in the bathroom and bedroom you could literally hear the water heater hiss. Daniel and I talked about it and assumed it was the gas. But I do remember on the of first day's being there when our landlord invited himself inside, I had asked him about the sound. He either didn't hear it or something because he said it was fine or normal or something. Well come to find out yesterday that was a HUGE leak causing major water problems in the trailer. All of the insulation under the house got soaked and our house was like a sauna. Our bedroom especially was wet and icky... and then the mold came.

As you can imagine the mold grew like crazy. We tried to figure out what was going on, tried to keep the place dry and clean of mold. When finally our Landlord called a plumber and they found the problem. This is not the kind of issue I ever want to deal with, especially pregnant! Now that the problem is being solved and we're cleaning up the rest of the mold the house is slowly drying out. I am so grateful that this is getting solved. Now all I have to do is feel better and finish unpacking! ugh

11 weeks pregnant

So I just had my first prenatal visit on Tuesday the 8th. And I learned that I was not 14 weeks like I thought! Haha how confusing. Oh well, we learned our baby is healthy and happy!
The baby was moving around like CRAZY during the ultrasound. It was so cute to see the baby move around and kick his little legs and move his little arms. I have to admit I did cry. Daniel reminds me that every time we talk about it. Haha

This baby is giving me a real hard time. I'm getting real tired of barfing 3 times a day! But hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks I will start feeling better. So far threw all of the 'things to try' popcorn is the only thing that has relieved my nausea. What's funny is ginger is only thing that does the exact opposite effect to me. Oh just typing about it makes me sick. Yuck!

My next appointment is December 6th. We get to hear the baby's heart beat on the Doppler.

Daniel and I just moved to Rexburg. We got this lovely trailer in a trailer park inches from the rail road tracks. But the good thing is it is right across the street from Daniel's work. We're both glad about that.

School is starting in January for both of us. Daniel is really excited to start school. I'm really excited to graduate! I'm going to take one last full semester, and then graduate! What I'm actually going to try to do is walk early, because after winter semester I will have 6 more credits. So I will graduate in April, and then take 2 classes online for spring semester... Which start at the end of April, and have the baby at the end of May! Oh dear!

But we are excited about the things to come!
